Introduction

Did you know there was a PIT Crew in the New Testament? That's right, through the actions of these early New Testament believers God was able to do incredible things because they:

  • Met together for Prayer.
  • Invited their friends to places where the truths of Jesus Christ were taught.
  • Told others what Christ had done in their lives
Just as all athletes are reminded to practice the basic skills of their sport, we are inviting you to use this simple game plan as a reminder of what you can do to see God move in the lives of your friends.

What does it mean to be on the PIT CREW?

1. Pray.
As a PIT Crew member you must be committed to praying once a week with others in your FCA Huddle, specifically for friends you know who need to find faith in Christ.

2. Invite. You must look for opportunities to invite your friends to places or events where you know faith in Christ will be presented. The places or events could include your local FCA Huddle meeting, area-wide FCA events, FCA Camps, Christian concerts, youth group meetings, church, etc.

3. Tell. You also must be prepared, ready and willing to tell your friends what your life was like before you had a knew Christ, how you started your personal relationship with Christ and what Christ means to you now.

That's what it means to be on the PIT Crew. You and the other students in your Huddle can join a worldwide prayer evangelism movement. Students who do these three things increase their opportunity to see God's work in the lives of their friends.

What do I do as a member of the PIT CREW?

Get together with your friends weekly and pray specifically that God will move in the lives of people you know who need faith in Christ. Look for opportunities to invite them to Christian events, and be ready to share what Christ means to you. Keep track of your prayers and how God answers them so that you will be encouraged. Use the PIT STOP form to help you.

As a member of the PIT CREW, you have the opportunity to complete an online PIT STOP form and keep a running prayer journal that is just for you. Also, by joining the PIT CREW you receive:
  • An E-Mail Newsletter (optional) containing prayer alerts and creative prayer ideas to implement into your PIT CREW.
  • The benefit of having your PIT STOP form forwarded to your local FCA Staff person.
  • The blessing and encouragement of hearing how God is moving in hundreds of schools across America as we join in Praying, Inviting, and Telling.
